On Oct 17th, Ha Long University celebrated its 60 years of tradition, 5th anniversary of establishment, and opened new academic year 2019-2020.
Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Nguyen Xuan Ky, affirmed that with the target of building Quang Ninh as a province with economic structure of industry and services by 2020; a modern industrial and service province, an international tourism hub, one of the economic growth poles of the Vietmam’s Northern part by 2025; and a central city prior to 2030, the province defined training and attracting human resource and renovating education as core solutions. With the mission of training high-quality human resource, Ha Long University should enhance building capacity and renew its teaching methods to become a tertiary education hub.
On this occasion, under the authorization of the Prime Minister, Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Thang, granted emulation flag to the university for its excellent performance during the emulation movement in 2018.
