Provincial leaders pay tributes to martyrs, fallen sodiers

A delegation of the Provincial Party's Committee, the People's Council, the Quang NInh Provincial People's Committee, the Quang Ninh Provincial National Fatherland Front Committee paid respect to fallen soldiers at Ha Tu War Martyr Cemetery and Vu Van Hieu Mausoleum on September 1 in Ha Long city on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

The delegation included by Quang Ninh's Chairman Nguyen Van Doc and other provincial leaders.

The August Revolution in 1945 opened up a new era in Vietnam’s history, when the entire nation, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam founded and led by President Ho Chi Minh, rose up to seize power.

On September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, declaring to the world the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
