Provincial leader inspects the organization of festivals

Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy on Jan. 22 paid a visit to Uong Bi city and Quang Yen town to inspect the organization of festivals and preparations to welcome the Lunar New Year 2018.

During Tet festival, Uong Bi city and Quang Yen town will hold an art program on the New Year’s Eve, as well as other activities during the Tet holiday, such as folk games, spring flower festival, art exhibitions, spring newspaper display, etc.

To respond to the National Tourism Year 2018, which will be held in Quang Ninh, Uong Bi city will host the 2018 Japanese Cherry and Yen Tu Yellow Apricot blossom festival. Meanwhile, Quang Yen Town will organize Tien Cong festival 2018, the ceremony to receive the national intangible cultural heritage certificate, the celebration of 730 years of Bach Dang victory, and the traditional boat race.

Quang Ninh’s Vice Chairwoman asked these two localtities to pay much concerns to the poor households, the families of the national contributors, wounded soldiers and martyrs.

“Safety, security, environmental sanitation, and food hygiene and safety, transport safety, fire fight and prevention must be ensured for the locals to enjoy the Tet holiday”, stated the leader.

She also requested Uong Bi city and Quang Yen Town to enhance the State management on festival organisation and enhance the promotion and propaganda of the National Tourism Year.

Regarding the Japanese Cherry and Yen Tu Yellow Apricot blossom festival, she stressed that this is the first time Uong Bi has hosted this event. Therefore, the city must undertake the careful preparations for the festival.
