On June 28th, in Ha Long city, a Press meeting was held to announce a program on “Joint hands to light up Co To island” which was broadcast live at 8pm on June 29th on QTV with a wide range of excellent performances by well-known artists of the coal mining area.
As reported at the meeting, the project bringing power grid to Co To island has a total cost of more than VND 1,100 billion with a total length of 58.3 km. The project implementation kicked off in late 2012 and is planned to be completed in October 2013. This is a program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Quang Ninh province. To date, over 200 organizations and individuals have actively supported the project with a total contribution of more than VND 204 billion.
Also at the meeting, a great number of questions were raised by represenatives of Press agencies regarding the project, such as the project completion date, investment capital, etc.. .
