The Vietnam – Japan Friendship Association in Ho Chi Minh city has coordinated with the Women's Cultural House to organize an exhibition about life and people in Vietnam and Japan.
Accordingly, 70 photos depicting the beauty of life of Vietnamese and Japanese people by famed Japanese photographer Teruyo Iwahori and her Vietnamese counterpart Dao Hoa Nu are on display at the Women’s Cultural House, 192 Ly Chinh Thang, district 3 from May 14 -17.
The event is held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese-Japanese diplomatic ties and the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Year 2013.
Photographer Teruyo Iwahori has launched several exhibitions featuring Vietnam and its people, including two with more than 100 photos of cherry blossoms in 2008 in Hanoi and at the 2008 Hue Festival, and has taken thousands of photos of the country and its people in her 13 years of travelling back and forth between the two countries.
