Vietnam Independence Day (September 2) is one of the most significant holidays for all the Vietnamese people to remember the day in 1945 that Vietnam declared its independence. There are many activities and cultural events organized to celebrate this day. Many Vietnamese people usually look for somewhere to spend this special holiday. Of which, Quang Ninh is always the most-favorite destination for tourists on this occasion.

Yen Duc village
Yen Duc village belongs to Quang Ninh's Dong Trieu town. Only nearly 2 km to the 18A national road but it seems to be separated from the noisy city. Visiting Yen Duc Village seems to be back to a typical Vietnamese agricultural village in the Northern Vietnam. Tourists will have chances to act as farmers and enjoy traditional water puppet shows.
For many tourists, especially children, it is interesting to wade into a pond to catch fish by using a traditional bamboo-made fishing tackle called "nơm" in Yen Duc village. Visitors may find this experential activity very enjoyable and exciting.
In the evening, tourists will enjoy outdoor buffets in the bungalow, the natural atmosphere, and have cultural exchanges with the tour guide-farmers.
Binh Lieu district
Located more than 200 km from Hanoi to the northeast of Quang Ninh province, Binh Lieu is a rural district. Coming to Binh Lieu, tourists will be immersed in a majestic mountainous landscape, poetic terraced fields and picturesque reed hills.
Visiting Binh Lieu, visitors can't help visiting the 1305 milestone which is known as "the spine of the dinosaur" with rugged roads and not easy to reach, while the others find it amazing to set up tents on the 1.492 meter-high Cao Xiem peak, which is considered as the "rooftop" of Quang Ninh.
Additionally, Khe Van, one of the most famous waterfalls in Binh Lieu district is also a must-visit scenic spot for tourists who love adventure tourism. Here, you can not only see the beauty of the unique three-level waterfall, but also have fun and explore the wonderful and impressive sceneries.
Quan Lan Island
One of the beautiful untouched islands in Quang Ninh is Quan Lan. This is where you could be so delighted in swimming at beaches, playing on the sand or simply relaxing to breath the fresh air on the island.
Quan Lan island has 3 beaches, namely Quan Lan, Son Hao and Minh Chau. Of which Minh Chau is considered as the most beautiful beach on the island with wonderful water and soft white sand. Besides beaches, you can come to Eo Gio, a newly-discovered spot in Quan Lan with a stunning and romantic beauty. From the Eo Gio peak, you can enjoy the panorama of the pristine and majestic nature here.
