On the morning of September 2, within the framework of the VTV International Cup of Lotus Cup 2019, cyclist Parra Jordan of Bikelife Dong Nai became the winner of the 2nd stage covering 144kms from Hanoi to Quang Ninh.
Parra Jordan was followed by Im Jaeyeon of the Korail Cycling team and Le Van Duan from the VUS Ho Chi Minh city team.
The Organization Board and the Culture and Sports Department of Quang Ninh co-organized a ceremony to reward the winner and the runner-ups of the stage.
As planned, the next stage of the tournament will take place on Sep. 3, starting from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh province.
The VTV International Cycling Tournament 2019 – Ton Hoa Sen cup aims to promote famous cultural and natural heritages of Vietnam, such as: Ha Long Bay, Trang An landscape complex, Hue Imperial and Hoi An ancient city, etc.
More than 80 athletes from six Vietnamese teams and six foreign teams compete at the fourth Vietnam Television (VTV) International Cycling Tournament - Ton Hoa Sen Cup, which was launched in Hanoi from September 1-8.
The annual tournament consists of eight stages covering around 1,045 km along the length of the country, starting from Hanoi and finishing in Hoi An city (Quang Nam province).
