In 2018, the total tourist arrivals to Van Don island district was estimated at 1.142 million, up 8% compared to 2017, according to the report from the Devision of Culture and Information of Van Don.
Of which, the total international tourist arrivals was 24,190, a rise of 34% over the last year.
To gain this positive results, Van Don district People’s Committee/ fucntional authorities has concentrated on improving infrastructure system with 168 accomodation facilities including one 3-star hotel, 7 two-star hotels and 15 one-star with a total of 1,946 rooms in Van Don.
In recent years, Van Don has become an attractive destination for the visitors. Tourism bussiness activities have been stably operated; the bussiness climate has been positively improved, ensuring a healthy and effective environment for tourism enterprises. Besides, the People’s Committee of Van Don district has paid much attention to invest in tourism, expanding tourism spaces and making a good connection among localities within the district.
