In Quang Ninh’s green growth direction, the contribution of the coal industry is remarkable. Vinacomin has closely worked with the province to relocate Nam Cau Trang Selection Coal Company to Ha Khanh ward. Along with that, the group has carried out environmental recovery at coal landfills, ensured stable incomes and welfare for laborers.

Regarding the Vietnam’s Coal Industry growth planning towards 2020 and vision toward 2030 approved by the Prime Minister at Decision No.403-TTg dated March 14, 2016, the secretary asked the Quang Ninh Coal Party’s Committee and the Vinacomin Party’s Committee to timely follow the roadmap to completely close the open-pit mines in Ha Long by 2020.
