He is Director of the Quang Ninh Department of Information and Communications Nguyen Minh Hong, who is an engineer graduated from University of Information and Technology. He was recognized as one of the 16 best leaders of Information and Communications receiving CIO ASEAN Awards 2012.
According to the evaluation of the Organizing Board of CIO ASEAN Awards 2012, Hong plays an important role in IT development of his Department in particular and the province in general. He has significantly contributed to some major projects namely: Quang Ninh Portal (QNP) project, operating system of the Department of Information and Communications. This achievement created the premise of the IT development and application in various areas within the province.
CIO ASEAN Awards 2012 has been launched since the end of 2011. The organizing board received 88 nominations, including 50 from Vietnam. The 16 best CIO were chosen and honored by the Judges, of which Vietnam has 10.
