OCOP initiative not only helps farmers get higher incomes but also affirms the special brands of the localities.

OCOP program used to be fragmented but now is being developed in larger scale thanks to the connectivity between cooperatives and farmers. Dam Ha white radish is a typical example. Its plantation was modestly 24 hectares in Dam Ha and Quang Loi communes but now is spread to more than 50 hectares with output of 60-80 tons/ha.

Tuan Hung Agriculture-Forestry-Fisheries Production and Trade, Services Cooperative which manufactures Duc Yen rice, Dam Ha peanut, Dam Ha mung bean, fulfilled all food safety and hygiene requirements and completed concentrated agricultural zones. These efforts have helped increase prices of Duc Yen rice to 20,000 to 25,000 VND/kilo from 15,000 – 20,000 VND/kilo.
