Nguyen Phuong Anh, a 19 year - old girl from Ha Long city of Quang Ninh, was crowned Miss Ha Long 2018 after the final round of the beauty pageant was held at the Tuan Chau International Entertainment and Tourism complex, on May 12.
Phuong Anh beat 20 contestants to win the title, while the first and second runners-up were Pham Thi Luyen from Cam Pha city, and Dinh Thi Thu Uyen, a student studying at Ha Noi National University, respectively.
The Miss Ha Long 2018 is a national pageant with 29 contestants selected in preliminary rounds. The biennial event is an important cultural event of Quang Ninh province and is also one of the activities of the National Tourism Year 2018 - Ha Long - Quang Ninh.
The highlight of the Miss Ha Long 2018 pageant is Miss Tourism contest. The candidates were requested to make video clips to present about tourism attraction and tourism products of Quang Ninh to domestic and international friends. Ms. Dinh Thi Thu Uyen, the second runner-up won the title of Miss Tourism.
