New look of Cam Pha Coal Mine city

Becoming the fourth city of Quang Ninh province in 2012, to date, Cam Pha city has made progressive changes in urban management and infrastructure, bringing a new look to an industrial city and developing Cam Pha into a civilized and modern city.

Planning was determined by Cam Pha's leaders as one of the vital factors for the sustainable development of the city. Accordingly, in 2016, along with its general construction planning, Cam Pha developed functional planning for its 13 wards, and assessed 57 detailed construction plannings. At the same time, the city fullfiled the urban development program for the city in vision of  2030. This is an important basis to determine the specific investment and construction plans of the projects; gradually meeting requirements and criteria of urban classification and ensure the quality of its infrastructure.

In addition, Cam Pha city spent a great amount of money on urban upgrading. Remarkably, nearly VND 10 billion were spent on planting green trees along the pavements of the main roads and streets in the city, aiming at creating a green space and fresh atmosphere for locals and visitors. Aiming at avoiding floods, water drainage system was also improved. To date, 41 projects on water drainage have been invested and conducted in the city.

In tourism sector, Cam Pha is intensifying promotion and development of specific tourism products based on its available resources. The sector is now planning tours to coal mines, hoping that coal mine tourism will be launched for the public in the coming time.

With the great efforts and active involvement of the City's government and local people, Cam Pha is expected to be a modern, industrial centre, ensuring social security and equality, improving living standards, contributing to promote and develop Quang Ninh tourism.
