Mong Cai city received 47,912 tourist arrivals from Feb. 2-9, equal to 98. 58% in comparision with the same period last year, reported the Management Board of Mong Cai Border Gate.
Earlier, on the first day of the Lunar New Year 2019, the People’s Committee of Mong Cai city held a ceremony to welcome the first international tourists, including nearly 200 ones from China’s Quangxi province), entering Vietnam via the Mong Cai boder gate on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2019.
As reported, the city welcomed 5,310 visitors via the Mong Cai international border gate on the first days of the Lunar New Year. The number reached to 9,547 and 10,525 in the second and the third day of the lunar new year, respectively.
Local fucntional athourities have made efforts to facilitate the visitors’ exit and entry procedures via the Mong Cai international border gate.
