On Feb.18, about 200 delegates attending the fourth International Conference promoting Vietnamese Literature, the third International Poetry Festival and the 17th Vietnam Poetry Day went on a tour of Ha Long Bay.
This is one of two activities within the framework of the third International Poetry Festival hosted by Quang Ninh province.
Approximately 200 well-known poets, writers, translators from 46 countries and territories worldwide embarked on a tour around the Ha Long Bay world heritage site on seven cruise ships departing from the International Passenger Port of Tuan Chau.
Previously, on Feb. 17, the 17th Vietnam Poetry Day officially commenced at Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature) in order to honor the country, the people and the culture of Vietnam via poems.
In the evening of Feb. 18, the Vietnam Writer Association in cooperation with the Quang Ninh provincial Art and Literature Association organized a poem night titled “Song nui tren vai” (Country on our shoulders) at the Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center in Ha Long city.
