National grid project for Tran island to be implemented with ODA capital

Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has approved project connecting national grid to Tran island in Coto district and Cai Chien islands in Hai Ha district, with the total capital of approximately VND600 billion.

Accordingly, 85 percent of the Central Budget and 15 percent of the Provincial budget will be spent on implementing the project which is devided into two phases. Of which, the first phase with the total investment capital of VND197.8 billion was conducted in 2016 to bring national grid to Cai Chien island commune while the second one is planned to be carried out in the Tran island in 2019-2020 term with the total capital of VND397 billion.

The registered capital of VND300 billion to implement the project connecting national grid to the Tran island by sub-marine cables is sourced from Japan’s ODA loan. QNPPC also committed to allocate 15% of the reciprocal capital, and facilitate the investor during the project implementation to ensure its quality and deadline.

As reported, 15 solar panels have been installed since Jan 2019 to ease the daily life of the households living in the Tran island until the national grid will have connected to the Tran island.
