On July 5, at the 12th Congress, delegates of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council conducted the process of dismissal and election of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee 8th tenure in the term 2016-2021.
Accordingly, the council members decided to dismiss Mr. Nguyen Van Doc who got resignation application approved by the Central Party’s Committee from the position of Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Council.
At the congress, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Ky, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party's Committee was elected as the Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Council, 8th tenure, in the term 2016-2021, by a unanimous vote of all 71 council members.
