According to the statistics, Quang Ninh has received over 600,000 foreign tourists arrivals in the first two months of 2013, seeing a sharp increase in comparison with last year.
Specifically, in February nearly 330,000 foreign tourists visit the Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage Site, up almost 50,000 arrivals over February and 10% compared to the same period of 2012.
In order to achieve these above results, many travel agencies within the province have made great effort in attracting international tourists. Also in Feb., Quang Ninh has continuously received many world class cruises under the international cruise lines, namely Star Cruise, Costa Cruise, and Henna Cruise.
The total tourism revenue in the first months of 2013 is estimated to achieve VND 827 bln, seeing a rise of 22-46% compared to the same period last year.
