So as to assist China in preventing and combating against the Covid-19 epidemic, on February 12, the leaders of Mong Cai city had a meeting with China’s Dongxing city and provide the adjacent city with medical supplies.
At the meeting, Mong Cai leaders expressed their sympathy for the severe situation that China in general and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region’s Dongxing in particular are encountering due to the development of the serious epidemic. They also showed their willingness to accompany the Chinese neighbour to implement drastic measures to prevent and control the disease.
Mong Cai City donated 30,000 masks, 5,000 pairs of gloves and 500kg of disinfectant to help Dongxing to prevent and fight diseases.
Mr. Tang Yiheng, Deputy Mayor of Fangchengang city, Secretary of Dongxing city Party’s Committee expressed his sincere thanks to the Party, the Government of Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh province, Mong Cai city in particular, for their great concern to China. He believed that China would soon sweep the epidemic, and continue to maintain the stable situation of trade, import, export and socio-economic activities with Vietnam.
This assistance program deeply reflected the strong relation and solidarity between the two localities and two countries, he highlighted.
