On 7.7.2007, after announcing the new seven cultural wonders of the world, New Open World organization launched the voting campaign for the new seven natural wonders of the world on the Internet. With the enthusiastic support of Vietnamese people as well as international friends, Ha Long Bay has become one of the 28 candidates in the finalists. We wish that Ha Long Bay would become one of the new seven natural wonders of the world in order to promote our heritage to all over the world as well as to preserve this natural property for the humanity and future generations. In addition, the image of Vietnam and its people will be boosted in the world.
Ha Long Bay was twice recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage site. There is now a great opportunity for the Bay to become one of the new seven natural wonders of the world.
