On Oct.7, Quang Ninh’s Vice-chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Hanh, presided over a meeting regarding the management plan of the Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage site, in the period of 2020-2025 with a vision to 2040.
The plan is made basing on contributions of all relevant parties, from the community to the authority, departments, sectors, and localities. The plan aims atsetting out key tasks in order to protect the heritage from negative impacts caused by tourism development and climate change. In addition, the plan also mentioned the need of enhancing propaganda and advertisement activities to promote the heritage’s values for a sustainable development in the future. It will build the connection of the heritage with the community's life and brings economic benefits to the community through activities that do not harm the heritage’s values...
