On July 2, in Hai Duong city, Hai Duong province, the Departments of Culture and Sports of three provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Bac Giang had a meeting on making nomination file submitted to UNESCO for recognizing Yen Tu Relic Site as the world heritage.
At the meeting, with the spirit of responsibility and high determination, the three provinces unanimously agreed with the action program on some contents regarding establishing a new steering committee for making nomination file submitted to UNESCO for recognizing Yen Tu relic site as the world cultural heritage, setting up a working group for the above-mentioned steering committee, offering a roadmap and time for making the dossier.
Specifically, a brief nomination file submitted to UNESCO’s tentative world heritage nomination list will be completed by 2020. The revised and supplemented nomination file in English submitted to Paris- based UNESCO will be fulfilled by 2021-2022 and will be verified by ICOMOS / IUCN experts to Vietnam. The presentation on the nomination file at UNESCO‘s World Heritage Council session is expected to be implemented in early 2023.
