On July 9, Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No.2820/QĐ-UBND on adjusting the maximum speed of Ha Long - Van Don Highway, from 80km/h to 100km/h as its design. The adjustment is effective from July 10.
Ha Long-Van Don Highway is 60km long, 24.5m wide with designed maximum speed of 100km/h. This Built-Operate and Transfer project was invested by BOT Bien Cuong JSC with total investment of more than 12,000 bill VND.
The project was officially put into operation in Feb 1, 2019. Initially, it allowed 80km/h. Now the highway has played a vital role in connecting cities of Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Ha Long with Van Don, meeting travel demand of people and ensure operation safety in all conditions.
