On Apr 6th, Tien Yen District Police prosecuted Dao Xuan Anh Doanh (commonly known as Dao Xuan Anh), 30 years old, living in Phuong Nam Hamlet, Dong Hai Commune, for “restricting persons in the performance of their official duties” under Article 330 of the Criminal Code.
At 4pm on Apr 4, Nguyen Van Nam, 28 years old, living at Khe Can Hamlet, Dong Hai Commune drove the motorbike 14B7-605.08 carrying Dao Xuan Anh Doanh from Phuong Nam Hamlet to Dong Ngu Kinh Hamlet, Dong Ngu Commune. None of them wore helmets or face masks.
A functional group on their duties at Dong Ngu Kinh Hamlet check-point required both of them to have body temperature checked and declare health status as well as asked them to go back to wear helmets and face masks as regulated amid Covid-19 spirals. Drunken Dao Xuan Anh Doanh did not follow the functional group’s requirements. He cursed the group and used his pith hat to beat them.
Amid Covid-19 prevention and control and the extent of violation, Tien Yen District Police, Court, and Procuracy decided to prosecute Dao Xuan Anh Doanh.
