On Nov. 27 in Ha Long city, Deputy Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party’s Committee Do Thi Hoang had a courtesy meeting with a delegation of youth members from Houaphan, LuangPrabang and Xayabury (Laos), on the occasion of their working visit to Quang Ninh.
At the meeting, Deputy Secretary Do Thi Hoang made a brief introduction about Quang Ninh’s potential and its achievements in the socio-economic development in recent years. She also stressed that Quang Ninh always offers the best conditions to Lao’s students during their study in the province, support 3 northern provinces of Laos to build some social welfare buildings. This cooperation would enrich the traditional friendship of Vietnam and Laos.
She wished that the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general and Quang Ninh and the three northern provinces of Laos would be further developed. Therefore, she asked the youth unions of the two sides to intensify the cooperation in all the areas by raising the quality and effectiveness of coopreation programs to effectively contribute to the socio-economic development of the provinces.
For his part, Secretary of the Houaphan Provincial Youth Union Committee Khonepaphan Lungsichanthong sincerely thanked the Quang Ninh province's leader for her warm welcome and cordial reception. He congratulated Quang Ninh on its achievements. He wished that Quang Ninh province would creat the best conditions and offer more chances for the youth unions of the two sides to enhance their cooperation tie to learn from each other good experiences and creative approches in organizing youth movements and activities.
During their 5-day visit in Quang Ninh, the delegation will visit Halong Bay, Cai Bau pagoda, Van Don International Airport and some of good models of economic development in Dong Trieu town and Van Don district. They will also attend an exchange seminar on the youth movements, and join Vietnam-Laos Friendship Art Performance organized by Quang Ninh Youth Union.
