The delegation of Kitahara Medical Group (Japan) led by its Chairman, Dr. Shigemi Kitahara, had a working visit to Quang Ninh to survey and seek for investment in Rehabilitation Center at Quang Ninh Geriatric Hospital.
Speaking at the meeting, Director of Quang Ninh Department of Health Nguyen Trong Dien highly appreciated Japan's healthcare system. He affirmed that Quang Ninh Health Department is willing to cooperate with Kitahara Medical Group to construct the Rehabilitation Center at Geriatric Hospital. He hoped that the Group would provide and transfer some health care services for the elderly and support training Quang Ninh's medical staff to improve their qualifications and skills in the field of neurosurgery and rehabilitation.
On this occasion, the delegation undertook a survey of the Geriatric Hospital construction project, Bai Chay Hospital, and the Rehabilitation Hospital in Cam Pha city.
Kitahara Medical Group is an intensive center for neurosurgery and rehabilitation due to postoperative neurological consequences or severe neurological diseases. The Group has successfully implemented rehabilitation projects in Cambodia. In Vietnam, they had signed a memorandum of cooperation with Vietnam - Germany Friendship Hospital in 2017. In the near future, they plan to seek cooperation opportunities in terms of neurology and rehabilitation with many hospitals in Vietnam.
