According to the report of the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, the number of tourist arrivals to Quang Ninh in July was around 725,000. making a total of over 6.6 million tourist arrivals in the first seven months of 2017, a year-on-year surge of 15 per cent. Of which, the number of international arrivals was more than 2.4 million, up 24 percent.
The total tourism revenue in this period reached over VND 9.7 billion, up 25 percent compared to the same period last year.
In the first seven months of 2017, the tourism sector has focused on effectively tapping some of the new tourism products, attracting a great number of tourist arrivals to Quang Ninh.
From now till the end of the year, in order ensure a safe and healthy tourism environment, tourism department will closely coordinate with local authorities and related functional departments to continue to intensify inspection and stricty suspend illegal travel agents and shops from doing business.
