On Sept 17, Quang Ninh Tuberculosis and Lung Hospital in collaboration with Wan Fang Hospital, Taiwan, China, organized a conference to evaluate the results of one year cooperation on tuberculosis prevention, control and treatment in Quang Ninh.
Implementing the cooperation program, Wan Fang Hospital, Taipei Medical University and Taiwan Center for Disease Control have supported Quang Ninh Tuberculosis and Lung Hospital to train more than 40 health workers and sent many experts to directly consult and provide instruction on building standard procedures for the management of testing quality, as well as management of patient with Tuberculosis in the community. At the conference, the two sides continued to discuss and propose effective solutions to overcome difficulties in the tuberculosis treatment, especially drug-resistant tuberculosis; the control of tuberculosis infection in health care establishments and community.
