According to the statistics from Quang Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the number of international arrivals to Quang Ninh in the last month of the year 2013 reached nearly 270,000, up over 2,000 in comparision with November.
Of which, the number of international tourists received by travel agents is 59,000, an increase of 16,000 arrivals compared to November of 2013 and 60% over the same period of 2012; the tourists staying overnight achieved 200,000.
In December, travel agencies in Quang Ninh welcomed more than 22 visits of the leading cruises around the world, such as Seaborn, Henna, Superstar Genimi bringing thousands of international tourist arrivals from Europe, the U.S... to Ha Long Bay.
Also in 2013 Quang Ninh received 2.6 mln tourist arrivals, a rise of 8% in comparision with the same period last year; The total revenue from tourism gains over VND 5,000 billion, seeing an increase of 18% compared to the same period last year.
