Quang Ninh welcomed over 2.3 million tourists in the first quarter of this year, posting a year-on-year rise of 19%, with a 33% surge in foreign visitors, who numbered 804,500, according to the statistics of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The province made tourism revenues of VND 1,124 billion in the first quarter, up 14%.
Quang Ninh is building programs and plans to ensure the success of Ha Long Tourism Festival 2012.
