In response to the Youth Month, the provincial Youth Union has conducted a campaign to decorate electricity boxes along main roads and streets in Ha Long city and other localities.
Under this campaign, about 700 electricity boxes installed along some newly-upgraged roads such as Nguyen Van Cu, Bai Chay, etc. have been beautifully painted with various images such as Ha Long bay, Bai Tu Long bay, Yen Tu mountain, Bai Chay bridge, etc.
The decor campaign costs approximately VND 300 million sponsored by local businesses. A lot of artists and drawing teachers have also acted as volunteers for this activity.
The decoration is approved by the electricity sector as long as these paintings do not hide alarm boards and the structure of the boxes.
This campaign has drawn a great deal of attention from locals and tourists. It is assumed that roads and streets emerge as more civilized and beautiful thanks to these special paintings.
