The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has held a press briefing in Hanoi to announce the decision of the State President on the Ho Chi Minh and State prizes and the title of “People’s Artist” and “Outstanding Artist”.
On April 27th, State President signed Document 534 presenting the Ho Chi Minh prize to 12 works of literature and art, Decision 535 presenting the State prize to 128 works of literature and art, Decision 533 conferring the title of People’s Artist to 73 artists, and Decision 532 conferring the title of Outstanding Artist to 356 artists.
The awards ceremony will take place at Hanoi Opera House on May 19th on the occasion of the 122nd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.
These are noble awards, showing the care and recognition of the Party, State and People of artists’ contribution to national literature and arts.
