The national action month for HIV/AIDS prevention and control will take place from November 11 to December 12 under the theme “Looking forwards to no new HIV infections”, according to the Office of Government’s recent Official Dispatch.
This year’s action month aims at changing behavior for prevention of HIV infection and enhancing access to consultancy services and HIV/AID treatment.
The National Committee for AIDS, Drugs and Prostitution Prevention and Control urged sub-committees of ministries and localities and mass organizations to design specific plans, organize and supervise the implementation of the plans during the action month.
The Government tasked the National Committee to invite the Agency Informal HIV Coordination Group, which comprises of Ambassadors, heads of bilateral and multilateral donor agencies and representatives of United Nations agencies, to participate in the launching ceremony.
