On Jan. 15 in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh’s Chairman Nguyen Duc Long chaired a meting with Hanatour Service Inc., the leading tourism travel agency in the South Korea and the National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines regarding the launching of new filghts connecting the RoK and Quang Ninh province via the Van Don International Airport.
Addressing the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Duc Long has made a brief introduction about Quang Ninh’s potential and advantages for tourism development. Accordingly, Quang Ninh has 600 tourist attractions alluring an increasing number of domestic and international tourist arrivals. In 2018, Quang Ninh received 12.2 million tourist arrivals, including 5.2 international arrivals, and welcome the 15millionth international tourist visiting Vietnam.
Recently, Quang Ninh has completed three key transport projects, namely Van Don International Airport, Ha Long International Cruise Port and Halong-Van Don expressway, which ensure the best conditions to connect Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh in particular to the region and the world.
Besides the transport infrastrutcture, Quang Ninh has carried out many projects of intergrated resorts in order to offer tourist with a wide range of world class tourism products.
Having said that, quang Ninh’s Chairman hoped that the cooperation between Quang Ninh and localities of the RoK would be further developed. The flights from the RoK to Quang Ninh via Van Don International Airport, and vice versa, would be launched at the soonest time. He also wished the cooperation tie in tourism bussiness activities among travel agenciesof the two sides would be intensified.
For his part, the Chairman of the Board of the Hanatour Service Inc. Kim Jin Kook highly appreciated Quang Ninh’s willingness and committmentHe emphasized that Vietnam's tourism is a very potential market, and Quang Ninh is an attractive destination with full of necessary conditions to develop various tourism types.
Based on a survey at some tourist sites, HaNa Tour will continue to promote, advertise and coordinate with Vietnam Airlines to open a new air and marine routes to Quang Ninh. This is a good foundation for HaNa Tour to bring more visitors to Quang Ninh in particular and Vietnam in general.
