In order to make tourism as a spearhead industry, Hai Ha District is concentrating on measures to introduce exceptional tourism products which will be developed based on advantages of the locality.
In 2018, Hai Ha started to focus on its agricultural features to develop standardized hamlet-tour and standardized garden-tour. Gardens which are planned to ensure productivity, quality of produtcs and rural appearance have become attractive to tourists.
The standardized gardens lying side by side, inter-hamlet roads adorned with ruellia brittoniana are attracting tourists to Hamlet No4, Quang Minh Commune, Hai Ha District. Walking leisurely on roads, trying farmers’ works, and fresh vegetables harvested in gardens, coming to Hai Ha, tourists can enjoy a healthy and simple rural life.
Hai Ha recently has paid attention to developing eco-tours, experiential tours, spiritual tours and border, sea and island tours as well. The district has guidelines for promoting tourism in the line with preserving cultural identities of local ethnic minority groups. Tran Hung Dao Temple, Hai Ha Pagoda, Bac Phong Sinh Border Gate and Cai Chien Island now have become local brand-names. The three sites were recognized by Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee as tourist attraction since 2016 and included in the two key tourism routes of the district.
In the first half of the year, the district welcomed more than 30,700 tourist arrivals, the tourism revenue was estimated at around 30.7 bill. VND, 28% higher than the figure of the same period last year. Along with sustaining the existing tourism products, the district planned to introduce new products such as Community Culture Village in Quang Son and Quang Duc mountainous communes; preserve local historical and cultural relics, remnants of the locality, festivals at Tran Hung Dao Temple, Min Son Temple, Quang Linh Communal House and enhance the services of restaurants, hotels, shops and entertainment spots.
Hai Ha set the goals that by 2020, the tourism would welcome 80,000 tourist arrivals, earn 32 bill. VND and create 600 direct jobs. By 2030, the sector aims to receive 160,000 tourist arrivals, earned 96 bill. VND and created 1,500 direct jobs.
