The Ha Long World Circus Festival 2019, themed "A new chapter of a great wonder" officially took place in the evening of Nov. 15 at Quang Ninh Exhibition of Planning and Expo Center in Ha Long city.
Co-held by Vietnam Circus federation, Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam-Singapore JSC, the Ha Long Circus Festival 2019 features 114 artists from 20 countries and territories around the world. The jury of the World Circus Festival - Ha Long 2019 consists of seven members from Viet Nam’s and the world’s circus associations.
In the opening ceremony evening, the locals and tourists had a chance to enjoy 14 impressive performances by both Vietnamese artists and those coming from other countries around the world. As scheduled, the Ha Long Circus Festival 2019 comprises 28 performances, which feature a modern circus art and artists' skills such as: aerobatics, flying swings, flexible bending, standing arms, swings ring…
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Thu Thuy affirmed that the Ha Long World Circus Festival - Ha Long 2019 is an international cultural event which is planned to be held annually in the city in November. The festival is expected to be a unique cultural tourism product attracting both domestic and international visitors to Quang Ninh and Vietnam in the low season, contributing to promoting tourism development and the night-time economy of the province.
As scheduled, the Ha Long Circus Festival 2019 takes place from Nov.14-17. On the sidelines of the festival, there will be the 'International Cuisine Festival – Ha Long 2019'; an exhibition introducing products of the 'One Commune Once Product' program and craft villages fair; the two-day circus competition from Nov. 15-16.
The event will wrap up with Gala Night on Nov.17.
