On Mar. 16, in Ha Long city, Standing Provincial Party Committee held a meeting to discuss about the operation of the Quang Ninh Investment Promotion Agency ( IPA), and preparation for Ha Long Tourism Week 2012. The meeting was chaired by member of the Central Party Committee and Party Secretary Pham Minh Chinh.
Regarding the operation of IPA, after being directed by the Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of QNPPC, as well as having close collaboration with relevant sectors, IPA has rapidly completed its organization structure with a hi-qualified team of civil servants. Standing vice-chairmen of QNPPC commented that IPA has recently started its operation and achieved good results. For example, IPA has actively worked with KDDI Group (Japan) who is seeking for investment opportunities to construct a plant specialized in information technology and media.
To conclude the issue Mr. Pham Minh Chinh has highly appreciated the active involvement of the Party Committee of the PPC and relevant sectors to put IPA into its operation. He stressed that the establishment and operation of IPA is one of the most important methods of the province in attracting FDI. He also assigned the Party Committee of QNPPC to direct relevant sectors to collaborate with IPA to quickly and adequately update information in which investors are interested on its website.
In terms of preparation for Ha Long Tourism Week 2012 which will be held by the end of April, participants has unanimously agreed to organize Ha Long Carnival Festival 2012 with the contribution of all economic sectors, involving people at all levels, and ensuring the atmosphere of a street festival. The festival night with the participation of 3,000 professional and amateur actresses will be held on April 28th at Culture and Sport Center in Ha Long city and broadcasted live on VTV1. To conclude this content, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh directed that the Organizing Board of Ha Long Carnival Festival 2012 must regard culture and tradition of Quang Ninh province as the mainstream. He also added that Ha Long Tourism Week this year should be the festival of all the Quang Ninh people.
