Quang Ninh's Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy chaired a meeting on Feb. 25 in Ha Long city regarding the orgaization of Ha Long Sakura Festival 2016 reported by the Ha Long City People's Committee.
With the theme of "Integration-Cooperation and Development", the Ha Long Sakura Festival 2016 will take place on Mar. 18-23 at the City Square (30/10). This is a significant activity to congratulate the success of the 12th Party National Congress and to realize the aim of developing Ha Long Tourism city.
The festival will include a wide range of activities, namely: culture exchanges, light performance by Vietnam and Japanese actresses, sakura exhibition, around 150-200 booths introducing Japanese and Vietnamses products of tourism, culture, gastronomies, souvernirs, workshop on cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in trade and tourism investment and promotion , MOU signing ceremony.
Speaking at the meeting, Thuy agreed with the plan proposed by Ha Long city regarding the organization of Sakura Festival 2016. She then assigned Ha Long city People's Committee to work with Japan’s Wanokai International Culture Association in order to reach agreement on the content, program, activites and list of the guests to have a good preparation for the festival.
