After 8 days across Atlantic, at 2 p.m on Sept. 9, Ha Long Bay – Vietnam clipper arrived at Portugese Marina de Portimo Port, completing the first leg of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2019- 2020, and ranked the 8th among 11 teams.
Ha Long Bay – Vietnam clipper won the second fastest yacht in the sprint in 15 hours, 51 minutes and 4 seconds. This result means that Ha Long Bay – Vietnam will be awarded two bonus points to its overall tally. On Sept.15, all teams are expected to partake in the second race leg named “South Atlantic Challenge” from Portugal’s Marina de Portimo Port to Uruguay’s Punta del Este Port.
