According to the Quang Ninh Department of Tourism, the province received around 800,000 visitor arrivals during Vietnamese new year holiday, up around 45 percent against the same period last year, with a turnover of VND 900 bln. Of which, 86,000 overnight stays, mostly from the Republic of Korea (RoK), China, Japan, and some of the European countries.Thanks to the new tourism products, like Drangon Park, Sun Wheel, Queen Cable System, etc. Quang Ninh is attracting an increasing tourist number. This is a good signal of Quang Ninh tourism.
Yen Tu historic site; Ngoa Van pagoda, and Ha Long Bay are magnet attractions for visitors during and after Tet holiday.
According to the management board, the number of tourists arrivals to Yen Tu historic site reached nearly 50,000 from the first day of the first lunar month. On the opening day of the Yen Tu Spring Festival 2017, the site received more than 20,000 visitor arrivals.
To ensure tourism quality, security and safety for holiday-makers, the management board has taken many actions, such as upgrading transport infrastructure; expanding free parking area with a capacity of 1.5 thousand motobikes and around 3,000 cars; and ensuring reasonable prices of goods and other services offered to visitors.
Meanwhile, visitors to the Ngoa Van Spring Festival were facilitated by a modern cable car system with 53 cabins, with a capacity of 2,600-3,500 pax hour. Moreover, Dong Trieu Town People's Committee has improved other components of the relic, including road, parking area,etc.
Not only Yen Tu and Ngoa Van Spring festivals, Ha Long Bay also welcomed a sharply increasing number of visitors. As reported, 100,000 tourist arrivals flocked to Ha Long Bay from the beginning of the year to date. 80 percent of three and five-star hotels in Ha Long city were fully booked on this occasion.
The number of tourist arivals is expected to continue increasing on this festival season. Quang Ninh will then prepare for the 2017 upcoming summer tourism season which is expected to be very exciting thanks to the new tourism products.
