In recent years, the operation of Quang Ninh Golf Club is getting much busier. After 8 years of operation and development, its membership increases to 150 golfers and 300 regular golf players from 50 members in 2011.
Quang Ninh Golf Club is divided into 3 areas, namely Mong Cai, Ha Long and Dong Trieu-Uong Bi. The club organizes an official annual golf tournament. From this year, it works with Quang Ninh Media Group (QMG) to hold Quang Ninh Open Golf Championship – QMG Cup.
With the spirit of sport enthusiasm, Quang Ninh Golf Club has organized friendly matches with golf clubs nationwide and been recognized as one of 10 fair-play golf clubs by Vietnam Golf Association. The provincial club is also in top 15 clubs when competing at domestic tournaments. Quang Ninh golfers compete with golf players not only nationwide but also internationally, especially those who are from China, Thailand, Singapore, and some European countries.
Golf brings a lot of benefits to health and building relationship. Economic development is another value that golf brings to. As revenues and profit generated from golf business are great, a lot of countries in the world have put massive investment into this type of sport. Realizing that fact, Quang Ninh has made plans to attract investment in luxury golf course. Ha Long FLC Golf Course is an example.
The investment in golf courses and golf development not only creates more jobs with good incomes for hundreds of laborers but also attracts more golfers both inside and outside Quang Ninh. Besides, golfing is one more new tourism product that contributes to increasing local state budget.
Quang Ninh Golf Club is growing stronger, which is a springboard for the development of a new tourism service and provincial socio-economic development.
