France has become champion of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2023, surpassing two-time former champions Italy.France and Italy competed against each other in the final of the annual fireworks festival on July 8 on the banks of the Han River in the tourist hotspot of Da Nang.A variety of music, including French, American, British, K-pop, and V-pop were used by France to stir up the atmosphere for their performance in a sold-out event.
The audience got to re-experience the romantic tunes of La vie en rose, and Non, je ne regretterien, which have been remixed. Dynamite from South Korean group BTS and Stupid Love by Lady Gaga were also used.The performance ended with Bay (Fly) from Vietnamese singer Thu Minh. France won the competition and a $20,000 reward.Italy came second this year after winning in 2017 and 2018.The team played Vietnam Trong Toi (Vietnam Within Me) performed by singer Thuy Chi, along with other upbeat tracks.A view of Italy’s performance from Thuan Phuoc Bridge.Italy claimed a prize of $10,000. The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2023 was held after a three-year hiatus. The seating area was designed for 5,000 people, compared to 18,000 in 2019.
