Flagpole inaugurated at Sun square, Bai Chay ward

On September 2, Bai Chay ward, in partnership with Sun Group, inaugurated a new flagpole at Sun Square in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day. The ceremony included a solemn flag-raising ritual, with delegates and local residents standing in tribute as the national flag was unfurled.

Construction of the flagpole began in late August 2025. Rising 30 meters above the square, it features a reinforced concrete foundation and a base that faces the sea. The flag itself measures 4 by 6 meters and is made from durable fabric suited to coastal conditions.

The project, with a total investment of nearly VND 400 million, was funded by Sun Group alongside contributions from Bai Chay ward.

The Sun Square flagpole is more than just an architectural landmark and an addition to the urban landscape. It stands as a powerful symbol of national pride, evoking Vietnam’s enduring history of resilience and independence.

The image of the red flag with its golden star flying high above the coastline serves as both a reminder of the nation’s heritage and a source of inspiration for the local community as Bai Chay continues to grow into a modern, prosperous ward.
