Films on coal mining area to be introduced at the 18th Vietnam Film Festival

According to Prof. Ngo Phuong Lan, Head of the Cinematography Department (under the Ministry Culture, Sports and Tourism), a wide range of films on the coal mining area’s people and land, such as Coal, The Slope (in 1972); “Ky niem doi trang” (a memory of the hill under the  moonlight) ( in 1986)... will be introduced at the festival.

The 18th national film festival will be jointly held by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Quang Ninh PPC.This year's event is a cultural activity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Vietnam Cinema Industry and the 50th founding anniversary of Quang Ninh province.

During the festival, there is a variety of activities including seminars on a number of themes, namely “Cinema with Quang Ninh and tourism promotion through movies; “Cooperation in producing and publishing movies”; an exhibition on “Cinema with Quang Ninh in tourism development”. There are also  exchanges between film-makers, actors and actresses and audiences.
