Film screening to celebrate National Day
A film screening programme will be held across the country from August 19 to September 5 to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and the National Day (September 2, 1945 - 2021).
Films screened during the event will include feature film ‘Hanh phuc cua me’ (The Happiness of a Mother), the documentary ‘Chung Mot Coi Nguon’ (Sharing the Same Root), the film ‘Sac Xuan Tren Tho Cam’ (The Colours of Spring in Brocade), and the cartoon ‘Nguoi Thay Muon Doi’ (The Forever Teacher).
The event is being organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Cinematography Department in coordination with the Vietnam National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio (DSF), the Vietnam Animation Joint Stock Company, and centres for film distribution, cinematography, culture and arts in centrally-run cities and provinces.
It will be held in localities where the COVID-19 pandemic is under control and in line with all disease prevention and control regulations as issued by the Ministry of Health. In case it cannot be held as scheduled, the organising board will introduce the films to the public at the next film screening events.
