Under the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam Television, and Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, a live television program called “Fairy Ha Long” was held in Ha Long, Ha Noi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh city and broadcasted at 8 pm on Oct 28, on QTV, VTV1 and VTV4. This is one of the activities to intensify the voting campaign for Ha Long Bay as one of the new seven wonders of the world.
Attending the program, in Ha Long stage, there were the presence of Mr. Vu Van Ninh, Vice- Prime Minister; Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai, deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Pham Quang Vinh, deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, member of Central Party Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Binh Minh, director of Vietnam Television; ambassadors of Venezuela, Spain. The show also gathered many famous celebrities of Vietnam.
Ha Noi stage was attended by Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh - Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, ambassadors of some countries in Vietnam, tourists and local people and students.
“Fairy Ha Long” is a special art program attracting the participation of many famous singers who presented beautiful songs about Ha Long bay. Under the program, there were also a number of exchange activities among artists, singers, celebrities and ambassadors in Vietnam reagarding voting campaign for Ha Long Bay. Especially, representatives of the government, ministries and provincial departments, famous singers and the two Misses of Vietnam - Thuy Dung and Ngoc Han have called for people in nationwide and international community to vote for Ha Long.
In Ha Noi, Hue and Ho Chi Minh city, apart from special art performances, local people, domestic and international visitors have actively voted for Ha Long bay as one of new seven natural wonders of the world by sending SMS to 147 or via the Internet.
Speaking at Ha Long stage, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee has sincerely thanked all people for their votes for Ha Long Bay. He wished that Ha Long will become one of the new seven natural wonders of the world. He also believed that, Ha Long Bay will be recognized as a natural wonder of the world or not, four words “Ha Long – Viet Nam” will always bear in mind of the Vietnamese and international friends.
To close the program, Mr. Vu Van Ninh affirmed the significance of Ha Long Bay’s the recognition of Ha Long Bay as a one the new seven wonders of the world and delivered a message from the government to call for all the people in Vietnam and the Vietnamese in overseas and international tourists to jointly vote for Ha Long Bay.
