On Dec.16, Vice Chairwoman of Quang Ninh Provincial People’s Committee cum Chairwoman of the Council for examining scientific application dossier for provincial cultural and historical relic and beautiful landscapes, presided over a conference to examine an application for national relic recognition of Mieu Ong – Mieu Ba historical site in Nam Son commune, Ba Che district.
At the conference, Quang Ninh Department of Culture and Sports submitted to the Examination Council a brief report on the background of Mieu Ong – Mieu Ba historical relic. Every year, on the first day of the third lunar month, Ba Che district often organizes the Mieu Ong – Mieu Ba Festival to extend gratitude to people who have great contributions to the country. The Mieu Ong – Mieu Ba were recognized as provincial historical relic in 2013.
Closing the conference, Vice Chairwoman Vu Thi Thu Thuy asked departments, sectors and Ba Che district to continue completing the dossier and required the Department of Culture and Sports to collect ideas, urgently revising and completing the dossier to be submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration for the national relic ranking.
Also at the conference, all 9 members of the Examination Council agreed with the scientific dossier of Mieu Ong – Mieu Ba to be submitted to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for consideration for the national relic ranking.
