On May 27th, in Ha Long city, the Standing Committee of Quang Ninh Provincial Party had a meeting with Hai Phong City People’s Committee to evaluate the results of the cooperation program between the two sides. The meeting was attended by Secretary of Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Chinh; Hai Phong City Party Committee Nguyen Van Thanh, as well as other leaders of the two localities and representatives of revelant provincial departments.
At the meeting, leaders of the two sides have emphasized on the importance of the cooperation program between Quang Ninh and Hai Phong in the socio-economic development and other relevant areas. In this program, both Quang Ninh and Hai Phong are determined as the two vibrant provinces in the economic belt along the Gulf of Tokin; the two vital points in Hanoi – Hai Phong – Quang Ninh economic triangle.
At the meeting, participants have discussed about shortcomings of the program, including the implementation progress, tourism products and tours that have not been yet effectively developed.
Focusing on the importance of this program, Hai Phong City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Thanh suggested that the two sides should attach the copperation on tapping potentials of the two provinces in order to achieve the best outcome.
For his part, Secretary Chinh highly appreciated Hai Phong's achievements in socio-economic development during the implementation of the Resolution 32 in recent years. He also suggested that in the future the two sides will mutually carry out the Resolution 09 on Vietnam Seas strategy to 2020; Resolution 54 on building 3 major economic centers namely: Hai Phong – Ha Noi – Quang Ninh and Van Don economic zone.
