On Apr. 16, in Mong Cai city, a conference was held to review and evaluate the results of the implementation of the agreement regarding setting mechanisms on friendship exchanges in 2017 between the People’s Committees of Vietnam’s Mong Cai and China’s Dongxing cities, and set tasks for 2018.
As reported, in 2017, 26 meetings and friendship exchanges were held by both Mong Cai and Dongxing cities. 10 of them took place in the city of Mong Cai and 16 ones in Dongxing. Through these exchanges and meetings, the two sides discussed together about the issues which they are concerns about and visited some of the typical models in all fields. The results of the agreement’s implementation after one year help to foster the relationship of the two sides.
At the conference, both sides pledged to effectivey conduct all the issues mentioned in the 2018 agreement. Accordingly, they will continue held exchange programes in order to share their experiences with each other; build a peaceful and friendly border; stimulate the socio-economic development of both Mong Cai and Dongxing cities; thereby continue to concretize the agreements inked by both Parties and Governments of China and Vietnam in general, the ones by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Quang Ninh province in particular, contributing to promoting the partnership and friendship of the two conutries.
