On July 7, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh Provincial Party Standing Committee had a meeting with National Aseembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment regarding the Quang Ninh development project. The meeting was attended by the Committee’s Chairman Phan Xuan Dung and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Chinh.
At the meeting, Vice-chairmen of the NA's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment highly valued the development project of Quang Ninh province. They requested for further clarification of regional and international linkages in the development space and administrative and economic regions of the province.
They also suggested that the project should be added some more tasks and solutions, such as attracting hi-quality human resource to live and work in Quang Ninh; enhancing the State management in natural resources and environment; and providing effective measures to ensure security supporting economic development.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Phan Xuan Dung highly appreciated Quang Ninh for its great efforts in maintaining the growth speed in difficult economic context of not only Vietnam but also the whole world. Chairman Dung also acknowledged and hailed the provincial leaders who have raised their proposal. He confirmed that this is a national-level project, not only serving the provincial development but also national development.
Additionally, in order to make the project more convincing, Dung suggested that it is important to be included with experiences from other countries in building special administrative and economic zones as well as particular incentives.
